Hi everyone! This is John from the Plano, Texas salon. Today I’m
going to share my little secret to designing your dream hair.
The
blow-drying difference
One of the biggest aspects that make or break your overall look is blow-drying.
Not only does it affect your look, it’s also a significant step in prepping
your hair. Every one of your hair strands need to be evened out in order to cut
with the utmost precision. It’s almost like prepping your skin for the makeup
that comes afterwards. It also needs to be tailored to your hair type, hairstyle
and how you want to look. Even if you have the same hairstyle, you can get a
completely different look with blow-drying.
A hairstylist’s
best friend
And with the perfect blow-dry comes the perfect brush. Shoji Works
is my favorite Japanese brush brand. They’ve been creating the best brushes
since 1925 and hairstylists around the world love them for the quality and
intricacy of its products. The bristles, the handle curve, the weight—you can
tell that every single part of the brush is made with care and passion. The
breadth and variety of their brushes allows us to customize for every one of
our customers. I myself use 8 different brushes to tailor to my customers’ hair
situation, whether it be the length, coarseness or damage level.
So, there’s a glimpse of the tools that support a hairstylist. We
take great pride in our work of hair design and we think it shows in the tools
we use.
It’s been an awesome 3 months since we’ve launched our new salon.
Interacting with customers in our new home has been such a pleasure and we can’t
wait to meet more!
