Where are you from? What are some of your career highlights?
I’m originally from Yamanashi prefecture, Japan
where I worked as a registered nurse. My career started when I came to
the states, where I acquired
my certification as an eyelash specialist. While
going to a Japanese eyelash extension school in LA, I gathered models on my own
time to practice every single day so I can perfect my technique

those lashes last long. I carefully study my customers’ lashes, capturing their features and the way
they grow to make sure that they’re sustainable. I also do

A: I remember I was captivated by my own eyelash
extension experience. I loved how it dramatically changed my eyes, while
still maintaining a natural look. I
was always interested in learning about it and coming to the states was the perfect timing to kick-start my career.
What do you love about your job?
Being able to bring my customers’ vision to life is

Hi everyone! Since our Plano Salon is getting settled in a new
environment, we thought we’d share with you what we learned about Texas.
1. The origin
Did you know that the name “Texas” comes from the Indian language “Tejas”
which means “friendship” and “allies”?
Way back in history, Texas was a province of Mexico, but from 1835
to 1836, Texas won its independence. Their victory called for a new flag which
featured a white lone star and hence their nickname, “The Lone Star State” — a representation
of pride and independence.
Staying true to its origins, the people in Texas are extremely
friendly and we all take pride in the amazing state we live in.
bigger than you think it is
Texas is the 2nd largest state in the U.S. both by area
and population. So, everything is really spacious out here. Many people drive
big pickup trucks and roads and parking spaces are nice and wide—Yes!! So much
room to breathe.
3. The center
of rapid growth
After the Civil War, livestock, especially cattle thrived and became
the center of the industry. In the early 20th century Texas experienced
an economic boom with the oil industry, which later developed into a
diversified economy bringing in high-tech companies as well as other new
businesses. Texas is now the 2nd highest in gross state product and
continues to experience rapid growth.
So, there’s a glimpse of Texas! Viange Hair is proud to be in the
middle of an amazing, innovative state. And don’t forget to visit us at our new
salon in Plano, Texas!
