Treatment for Healthy Scalp

https://viangehair.blogspot.com/2019/04/treatment-for-healthy-scalp.html

I would like to talk about something that many people tend to forget when it comes to keeping their hair healthy. If you want beautiful hair, it is crucial to maintain a healthy scalp. Let me point out three key factors to determine the healthiness of your scalp.

Healthy Scalp Skin Tone – Healthy scalps have a bluish-white, clear skin tone. There are some symptoms to be aware of that warn of an unhealthy scalp. Unhealthy scalps tend to have a yellowish hue due to the oxidation of sebum on the scalp. This could cause an unpleasant odor and/or oiliness.  If your scalp has poor blood circulation due to clogged pores in the scalp, your hair will not be able to receive the proper nutrition it needs, which will lead to little or no hair growth.

Texture of a Healthy Scalp – Another symptom you want to look out for is a hardening of the scalp caused by poor blood flow. There are countless causes for scalp hardening, but I want to list a few specific ones here. Insomnia, muscular tension, nervousness, poor circulation, and eye-straining. Scalp hardening could also be a symptom of body exhaustion.

Healthy Pores – To avoid damaging your hair, its important to use special products designed to nourish and strengthen both your hair and scalp on a regular basis. Also, it is vital to your hairs health to wash out any styling products you may have used to avoid clogged pores. As the old saying goes, an apple a day keeps a doctor away. The same should be said of hair care products and hair/scalp health. If you want healthy, beautiful hair, you must take the necessary steps to maintain it.

Do you know the difference between home hair care products and deep conditioning treatment products? One is rich in coating ingredients, while the other can repair hair from within.
You want to use deep conditioning treatments to repair damaged hair, then use home hair care products daily to maintain healthy, nourished hair. These two products go hand in hand to keep your hair healthy and beautiful. Of course, it’s best to use both products to get the best result.

Rene Furterer - Curbicia Shampoo For Oily Scalp

I would like to introduce a new hair care product from Rene Furterer that uses a unique, plant-based ingredient. Say hello to Renee Furterer's Curbicia Shampoo!
Have you heard of Cucurbita Pepo? It’s also known as the field pumpkin, or in Japan, the “toy pumpkin.” It's a type of pumpkin that is used as a gardening ornament because of its charming looks. Yes, they are quite cute :) I must tell you, this Curbicia shampoo is flying off the shelves! It uses a pumpkin seed extract that has a powerful effect on sebum suppression. The pumpkin extract suppresses the DHT and 5α-Reductase, which is the enzyme of DHT. It helps to nourish healthy hair and gives a not-so-fond farewell to sticky, oily sebum.

I know that many of our customers have naturally oily hair regardless of the seasons, so if you’re struggling to style your hair because of excessive, oily sebum on your scalp, give this magic pumpkin a try.  Bibbidi bobbidi boo!

“5 SENS” series from Rene Furterer.

Premium hair care “5 SENS” series from Rene Furterer.

Rene Furterer’s "5 SENS" series contains five kinds of luxurious oils to help you achieve the best results for beautiful hair. The five oils used in the ingredients are safflower oil, avocado oil, sweet almond oil, castor oil, and jojoba oil. These oils are precisely calculated and combined to create a perfectly balanced ratio that keeps hair moisturized without weighing it down.

While Rene Furterer also produces excellent shampoo and conditioner as well, I want to focus on their dry oil in this segment. You can use this all natural product for your hair and body! The fragrance of this oil is so magical that you may not be able to go back to any other products. #SorryNotSorry

Here is a customer review posted on Rene Furterer’s official Instagram page:

“I have been looking for this oil all my life, without realizing it! It is light and easy to apply; a spray-on that does not waste oil. My hair is much drier on the ends, and so I can spot nourish easily. It works equally well on damp or dry hair. I apply a little on my ends, then brush with a boar bristle brush to distribute it well. My hair looks like an ad every day!” – ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ review on ReneFurtererUSA.com

It is getting colder and dryer every day, so please try this product and give your hair and body the proper moisturizer that it needs.

Karite Hydra shampoo by Rene Furterer

Whos loving the crisp fall weather?  October is here with all the pumpkin latte you can drink, but unfortunately, so is the dry weather. Are you doing anything to prevent your skin and hair from drying out? Yes, we have mentioned this product in the past, but I cant stress enough how important it is to keep your hair moisturized.
So, here is a friendly reminder about one of our favorite hair care products, Rene Furterer’s Karite Hydra shampoo.
Karite Hydra shampoo is rich with organic shea butter, which not only helps the hair, but it also helps to maintain a healthy scalp. One of the main ingredients, an organic Cimentrio® complex, works to repair damaged hair.

Use this shampoo once or twice a week for noticeably healthier hair. Dont hide your hair underneath that beanie. Let the wind blow through your hair and brighten the world :)

Leave-in hair cream by Rene Furterer

I was very excited the other day when I read an article in VOGUE JAPAN about a hair care product I love. The Rene Karite Overnight Care by Rene Furterer was discussed in the article, "Aftershower Hair Care Product to Nourish Beautiful Hair." Rene Furterer is a French brand that we use at Viange Hair Salon. This hair treatment cream is one product that we recommend to many of our customers.

It’s a moisturizing cream that is highly effective for dry hair. Out of many naturally based hair care products to choose from, Rene Karite Overnight Care is specifically designed to treat damaged, extremely dry hair. It's a leave-in cream so, there's no need to rinse it off.
After drying your hair with a towel, massage it gently over your entire scalp. Focus on the damaged areas especially, such as the tips of your hair.
There's no need to rinse off, so just let it dry before going to bed.
Super easy, right? And the results? Oh, man! My hair, from the roots to the tips, was so incredibly soft when I felt it in the morning.
You would think it might be too thick since there's a fair amount of shea butter mixed in, but surprisingly, it leaves no stickiness and adds no weight in your hair. My hair felt superb! It's definitely worth giving it a try.

How are you taking care of your hair?
I’d like to talk about a simple yet under-appreciated technique, brushing.

Our hair produces natural oil to keep it moisturized. However, even with the natural oil produced by the scalp, it does not moisturize the tips of your hair. Brushing properly on a daily basis helps to spread the natural oil evenly to every part of the hair. This can give a lustrous look with no added product. Who doesn’t want a naturally beautiful look without the hassle?

Also, brushing helps to massage the scalp, which improves the blood circulation.
Why is blood circulation so important for your scalp? Because it will help feed the scalp with more nutrients, which means better hair growth can be expected. Furthermore, brushing also removes the excess dirt and dandruff, while it also untangles your hair and cleans the split ends. I recommend using brushes made of nylon or plastic because they are easy to clean and are less likely to break.

If you haven’t been doing this, make the simple act of brushing daily a habit for natural, beautiful hair.

Three must-have products to fight hard water.

If you’ve come from outside California or came back after traveling outside the state, you will notice how your hair and skin dry up quickly. The intense UV rays and the hard water cause dryness and stiffness due to the minerals sticking to your hair. We have to recognize and respond to these conditions and take better care of our skin and hair. Just as healthy crops thrive in rich soil, keeping your scalp healthy is the key to beautiful hair.

Both dryness and oiliness can damage the scalp and roots of your hair. Avoid washing too much if your hair gets too oily because you will wash away all your sebum, your skins protective oils so your scalp will begin to overproduce sebum in response. To keep your hair healthy, you need shampoo, conditioner, and leave-in hair serum. These three products are a must for healthy hair!

If you have oily hair, wash thoroughly to remove the excessive sebum first, then massage the leave-in serum in gently.  Remember, there’s no need to use too an overabundance of serum if your hair is already moisturized and healthy.  It may be difficult to judge what your hair needs at times, because the condition of your hair may change during different seasons. Be sure to consult with one of our experts to assist you with choosing which products suit your needs best to keep your hair healthy from the scalp to the tip of your hair.

Benefits of a scalp massage. Treat your hair from the roots up.

Did you know that blood circulation plays an important role in healthy, beautiful hair? Smooth blood flow in your body brings a nice flow of nutrients to your scalp. Things like stress can slow down blood circulation. It closes off vital nutrient passages to your scalp and eventually weakens the roots of your hair.

That's why we have head spa menus at our salon along with an array of scalp massage products you can use at home. If you get one of our head spa services at the salon, our stylists will not only give you an amazing massage, but will also give you tips and tricks on how to massage your scalp at home. So, the next time you're here, give your scalp a little extra love.

What causes dandruff and how to get rid of it

Photo by Abdiel Ibarra on Unsplash

Let’s face it. No one likes dandruff but hiding under a hat ain’t gonna fix anything. Get to know the different causes of dandruff and how to treat it.

To start off, did you know that there are two types of dandruff?
1. Dry dandruff
2. Oily dandruff

Let’s take a look at each one in detail.

Dry dandruff
This is one of the most common types of dandruff. When your scalp is dry, the bond that holds your skin cells together begins to weaken, thus causing dead skin cells falling off from your scalp. The dryness comes from several reasons. It could come from external factors like the winter dryness or irritation caused by your shampoo. It could also come from health diseases like thyroid disease and diabetes, as well as internal factors like lack of estrogen or vitamin A.

Oily dandruff
This type of dandruff is essentially caused by a combination of these 3 factors:
1.    Accumulation of sebum oil secreted from your scalp.
A lot of times, improper or irregular shampooing habits can lead to this. If your scalp isn’t clean, the sebum combines with all the dead skin cells and dirt forming itchy flakes.

2.    Malassezia
Malassezia is a fungus naturally found on your scalp. But when there’s excessive oil on your scalp, it serves as food for this fungus, thus helping them grow immensely. This in turn, produces an increased turnover of skin cells, causing unwanted flakes.

3.    Lack of immunity

So, now that you know the different causes of dandruff, here are a few hair care recommendations to treat it.

Shampoo for Dry Dandruff:

KARITÉ INTENSE NOURISHING OIL
